- groff

is
an
enhanced
version
of
roff,
a
typesetter
that
predates
TeX
by
ages.
Opposed
to
TeX
it
is
very
fast,
small
and
clean.
You
should
definitely
try
it,
especially
with
the
macro
set
mom
(included
with
groff).
